Both degrees prepare students for the required licensing examinations to become licensed professional counselors.<\/p>\n<p>Many candidates choose to earn their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgeport.edu\/academics\/programs\/human-services-psych-bs\/\">Bachelor\u2019s in Psychology or Human Services<\/a>, as these degrees and their courses support and meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgeport.edu\/academics\/programs\/counseling-ms\/admission-requirements\">admission requirements<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgeport.edu\/news\/masters-in-counseling-vs-psychology\/\">Master\u2019s degrees in Counseling or Psychology.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to completing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgeport.edu\/academics\/programs\/counseling-ms\/\">Master\u2019s in Mental Health Counseling program<\/a>, employers require candidates to have earned their licensure.
